Thame United are back action in the Pitching In Southern League Central Division One this Saturday with the visit of Enfield FC. After our last home game a 1- 0 hard fought victory over Leighton Town, we have had a relatively Christmas and New Year Period with no scheduled Boxing Day game we then travelled to league leaders Berkhamsted on the
28th December and ended up losing 2 - 0 in what was a disappointing afternoon for us as we didn’t play to anywhere near the standards we have set this season. We were due to play Kidlington away on New Year’s Day, but that was called off early on due to a waterlogged pitch. In contrast Enfield FC have had a full programme, playing four games in 12 days, and although they lost on News Years day to Leighton Town they have beaten Hadley and Kings Langley and drawn with Hertford over the Christmas and New year period, and have found some form in recent weeks moving them upto 7th in the current form guide and 1oth overall in the league. We travelled to Hertfordshire back in August where a Harry Alexander goal was the difference between the two teams. As we came away with a 1 - 0 victory.
