Saturday 20 April

In the Pitching In Southern League Central Division One, Thame United First Team had their final home match of the season and penultimate league game, when Kings Langley were the visitors to the ASM stadium. In a must win game Thame got off to a perfect start with Ryan Knight running onto a through ball to hit a fist time shot past the Kings Langley Keeper. In a game of few chances in the first half Keeper Davis didn’t have a meaningful shot to save and it remained 1 - 0 at the break, The second half was similar to the first although the visitors had much of the ball they failed to put the Thame goal under pressure, Thame got their second on 62 minutes a neat move between Pierce McNamara and Ethan Lack, resulting in a slide rule pass to Harry Alexander who shrugged of a defender to slot the ball into the neat. It got better on 82 minutes for Thame, a poor touch on the half way line from a Kings Langley defender allowed Ryan Knight to pick the pull up and run into the box, round the keeper and slot home. It finished in a deserved 3 - 0 victory for the home side.
